The month of all bridges!
The sun is ordered.
Saint-Léonard-des-Bois is bursting at the seams! Tourists flock to the village and take to the footpaths, which have been decked out in their beautiful colours: the yellow of the cuckoos, the blue of the hyacinths and the purple of the heather.
The deckchairs, armchairs, outdoor tables and barbecues are out at the Rousselière, Douet Moreau and Boulay gîtes. Reservations have already been made. Hot, hot, hot to find dates still available at this time of year!
Entertainment is back in the village as well as on the farm!
The main event in the village is the Fête de la Nature which takes place over the Whitsun weekend. Hikes in search of edible or medicinal wild plants, concerts, producers and stands to raise awareness of nature conservation...
In the neighbouring village, Saint-Céneri-le-Géreione of the most beautiful villages in France, is the painters' weekend. Many artists exhibit, sell and open their own gallery-houses.
The main attraction at the gîtes is visiting the cows grazing in the meadows around you. They watch you and observe you, even if you think you're doing it!
They come and go to see, to drink, to sleep... They stay there in the hope of getting the right profile, the right posture and the right lighting for the photo. It may be a cliché, but all of you take photos of our beautiful Limousin cows. And if they're followed by little calves, that's when it's time to marvel, the apotheosis, the icing on the cake!
So the deckchair is no longer facing the courtyard but the field. I love seeing you like this!
